A breakthrough in autism at last?

The finding is creating a stir among experts, who say it might even lead to ways to treat the condition. “This is a very important contribution to our understanding of the disease,” says neurologist Robert Fujinami at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. “It will be cited for many years to come.” At present, there is little agreement about the cause, or causes, of autism. Certain genetic variations seem to play a role,
